Jamaine Eric Eugene Holmes, performing under the stage name 2Fingerz, was born in North Charleston, SC. He is a full-time musician and producer. He is best known for his unique way of playing the bass guitar scales with only 2 fingers.This is how the name 2Fingerz transpired.
He has collaborated and performed with many gospel artists including, Trinity Inspirational Choir, where he worked as their Musical Director, and Greater Howard Chapel AME Mass Choir, where he worked as a producer on the song “Higher Ground”. Most notability, he has worked as a producer on James L. Patterson’s “Move” & “Serve God Til I Die”.
2Fingerz began his musical journey at the age of 5. While studying under his mentors David Dawson and Joseph Gallon Jr. he learned how to play the drums. When he was 11 years old, his interest shifted to the keyboard. Soon after he started to play the bass guitar. It was then that others started to notice how quickly he was able to play any instrument that was put into his hands.
Landing him notoriety in the community as a musical prodigy.
While learning to play the bass guitar, fellow musicians, Brandon Montgomery and Tony Cobin were the first to mention that his approach to playing the instrument was different from other bass players they had seen. They noticed that he played
scales on the bass with only 2 fingers. Word was out amongst the community about this musical prodigy who uniquely played the bass. Many local artists sought after him and his peculiar talent, giving him the platform he needed to become the experienced musician he is today. Recently, he produced a new single entitled “You Reign” by Joseph Maxwell who is an international artist.
Currently, he is still working with and producing for James L. Patterson and is the Co-Owner of the music label, Mixed Waves Soundz LLC and CEO of the music label Lightning Music Eclipse.
